'Bohemian Roots' is soft to the touch, fierce to the eyes.
Is it really summer without a flare of bohemian tops and flowy pants prancing down streets, and moseying across beaches? No, of course not, and we know so because friendly neighbourhood Egyptian boho-chic brand, Zakhrafa, has launched its latest SS19 collection. Titled ‘Bohemian Roots', the collection draws from the brand's name, which is Arabic for wood carvings, and incorporates some wood elements into its pieces and uses earthy colour palettes.
The wood appears in linen items, ornately decorated with wooden buttons that accentuate them, striking a mix of contemporary and rustic that’s oh so modish and adaptive to be moulded for an elegant night, or a casual outfit.
In a lineup that can certainly lush up your wardrobe, bell bottom pants, jumpsuits, puffed-sleeve tops, dresses, wrap-around skirts and tasseled pants beaded for the runway making up the collection. Straying from Zakhrafa's usual rich patterns, 'Bohemian Roots' hones in on the minutiae, so that when assembled, makes up embellished, intricate designs that pay homage to the name.
Bohemian Roots not only glams up the look, but the feel too. Block-coloured linens take care of adding a summery aura to the pieces that could otherwise look autumnal alone, making for a rather eclectic collection that can be mixed and matched in a variety of different ways. Check out more below.
